Guided Adventures

Four seasons of fun!

Enjoy a guided day of discovery in the world famous Algonquin Provincial Park (aka, our backyard!).  You can enjoy this adventure in hikers in the summer, or on snowshoes in the winter.

Our knowledgeable guides will fill your day with wonder and enjoyment. See below for a sample itinerary.

Hikes will be selected based on group size and ability.  Have a particular interest or requirement? Just let us know and we will ensure your itinerary reflects that.

 Sample Itinerary:

9:30 a.m. – Group meets guide at the East or West Gate, introductions and icebreakers. The guide will ensure the group is properly dressed and prepared for the day, and will determine if hikes selected are in fact appropriate for group. (They can select another hike on the day.)

10:00 a.m. – Head to first trail head and embark on first hike.  Guide will include relevant and timely interpretation of flora, fauna, ecology, geology, history, culture and other topics as they are appropriate.  She/he will nurture the groups interests and allow them to ask questions and have as many self discovery moments as possible.  There will be plenty of opportunity for photography and peaceful enjoyment of nature throughout.

12:00 p.m. – Once finished the first hike the group will enjoy a trail lunch at a pre-determined spot – a look out or other beautiful location.

12:30 p.m. – Group arrives at Algonquin Visitors Centre, time to explore and get some souvenirs!

1:30 p.m. – Head to next hike location, this location will feature different elements than the morning hike, and the guide will interpret it as well.  Different photography opportunities and peaceful nature moments. Afternoon snack and beverage will be available on the trail.

3:30 p.m. – Finally, group heads to logging museum and has a guided tour of this interesting historic feature and area.

5:00 p.m. -The group will be finished in time to have dinner at a local restaurant on their way back to their accommodation.
